Animal Control
The Animal Control Officer is working hard daily to keep stray animals off the streets.
There are several ordinances in place prohibiting citizens from allowing their animals
to roam the streets.
Gerald does require all animals owned by citizens within city limits be up-to-date on their rabies vaccinations and that they recieve a city animal tag. Tags are sold year round at the City Hall.
At the beginning of each year, notices will be sent out reminding everyone to update their
animal tags, however, if at any time in the year a new pet is brought home please bring them to the City Hall immediatley to have them licensed.
For further information on animal control ordinances please check out our city ordinance page.
